Climate Action Plan

UMAGE is a Danish word meaning making an effort – and that mindset guides everything we do.

We believe that great design should not only create beautiful homes but also contribute to a more responsible future. Climate responsibility is therefore
integrated into how we design products, select materials, collaborate with suppliers and operate our business.

Rather than relying on one single initiative, we believe that meaningful change is achieved through many thoughtful decisions over time. Designing products that last.

Choosing responsible materials. Reducing transport impacts through
flat-pack design. Working closely with suppliers. Continuously improving our products and operations.

While UMAGE has not yet completed a full greenhouse gas inventory, we are already taking practical steps to reduce our environmental footprint through
responsible product design, operational improvements, supplier engagement and continuous development. As we continue to expand our climate data, including Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), we will use these insights to further strengthen our climate actions and future targets.

This Climate Action Plan describes where we are today, the actions we are taking, and our priorities for the coming years.

Our Climate Commitment

UMAGE supports the ambition of the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C and recognises the important role businesses play in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting natural resources.

Our ambition is to continuously improve our environmental performance through responsible product development, responsible sourcing, efficient operations and long-term supplier partnerships.

Climate responsibility is integrated into our decision-making processes across product development, procurement, operations and daily business activities.

Where We Are Today

Responsible Product Design

Product design is one of UMAGE's most important climate actions. We continuously work to reduce the environmental impact of our products through thoughtful design, responsible materials and longer product lifecycles. Current initiatives include:

• Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) completed for UMAGE's ten best-selling products, with plans to expand LCA calculations to additional products.

• Flat-pack product design across our furniture and lighting collections, reducing transportation volume and associated emissions.

• FSC® certified wood products supporting responsible forest management.

• FSC® certified packaging.

• Reduced use of plastic in packaging.

• EOS lamps produced using Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certified feathers.

• Horizon textile for all furniture manufactured from 100% recycled polyester.

• Long-life LED technology with a 10-year warranty on the Asteria lighting family, supporting longer product lifetimes and reduced resource consumption.

• Upcycling initiatives through UMAGE's collaboration with Special Minds, helping extend product life and reduce waste.

Responsible Operations

We continuously seek opportunities and implement activities that improve the environmental impact of our day-to-day operations. Examples include:

• Waste sorting and recycling.

• Automatic radiator controls to reduce heating outside office hours and optimize energy consumption.

• Sensor-operated taps that reduce unnecessary water consumption.

• Company cars have been fully electric for approximately eight years.

• Energy-efficient LED lighting is used throughout our office facilities where possible. Our showroom naturally has a higher energy demand, as lighting products must be displayed and demonstrated to customers.

Responsible Supply Chain

Our climate responsibility extends beyond our own operations. We work closely with suppliers to strengthen responsible business practices and improve transparency throughout our value chain.

Current initiatives include:

• Procurement Impact Assessments for UMAGE's most significant suppliers.

• Close supplier collaboration supported by UMAGE's local employees in China and Vietnam, enabling regular factory visits, quality control and ongoing dialogue.

• Sea freight is used as the primary transportation method wherever feasible.

• Continuous dialogue with suppliers regarding responsible sourcing, environmental initiatives and product development.

Nature & Climate Contribution

Since 2021, UMAGE has contributed to tree planting through the sale of wooden products as part of our climate responsibility initiatives.

While tree planting does not replace the need to reduce emissions, we see it as a complementary initiative supporting biodiversity, ecosystem restoration and long-term carbon sequestration.

Governance

Executive Management holds overall responsibility for this Climate Action Plan and for ensuring that climate considerations remain integrated into UMAGE's business strategy. Implementation is shared across the organisation:

• Executive Management – Overall accountability and annual review.

• Product Development – Product design, material selection and Life Cycle Assessments.

• Procurement – Responsible sourcing, supplier engagement and Procurement Impact Assessments.

• Operations – Energy, water and waste management.

• Marketing & Sustainability – Public communication and stakeholder engagement.

Climate responsibility is considered a shared responsibility across the organisation and forms part of everyday decision-making.

Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

UMAGE reviews progress on this Climate Action Plan annually.

Future priorities include:

• Expanding Life Cycle Assessments to additional products.

• Continuing improvements in operational energy and water efficiency.

• Strengthening climate dialogue with suppliers.

• Increasing the use of certified and recycled materials.

• Identifying further opportunities to reduce environmental impacts across our value chain.

This Climate Action Plan will be reviewed and updated at least every 36 months, or sooner if significant developments occur.

Stakeholder Engagement

This Climate Action Plan is publicly available on UMAGE's Sustainability webpage. UMAGE believes that meaningful climate action requires collaboration. We therefore encourage ongoing dialogue with employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to strengthen our climate initiatives and support continuous improvement.

Progress against this plan will be reviewed regularly and reflected in future updates.
