Every time a design made from wood is sold, UMAGE plants a tree. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are vital ingredients in 25% of all medicines. Fortunately, a mature tree can absorb an average of 10 kg of CO2 per year, making cities healthier and safer. While planting trees helps absorb CO2 over time, this initiative is not a carbon offset programme but a long-term contribution to reforestation, biodiversity, and a healthier planet.

UMAGE planted 21.218 trees in 2024, equivalent to 212.187 kg of CO2 absorbed per year when fully grown. To put this into something a bit more tangible, here are some fun comparisons:

212.180 kg CO2 = A yearly CO2 emission of 45 Danish citizens
212.180 kg CO2 = A yearly CO2 emission of 396 return flights between Copenhagen and London
In the past years we've planted:
2020: 9.964 trees
2021: 20.093 trees
2022: 17.261 trees
2023: 19.259 trees
2024: 21.218 trees
Total: 87.795 trees
